FCCPlatte Youth with a Mission
Our Youth Group (6-12) meets Sundays at 12:15 p.m. with
opportunities to serve throughout the year.
Young people in grades 6-12 have a number of ways to be involved at the First Christian Church of Platte City. Youth Sunday School meets at 10 a.m. each Sunday. Many of our youth serve as Youth Deacons alongside adult Deacons during worship to distribute communion and collect the offering.
Our Youth Group meets after church around 12:15 p.m. for a casual time of fun and fellowship. Our youth are also encouraged to participate in many of the ministries of the church, for instance, several of them serve as Sunday School teachers for the younger children. We believe our young people should be an important part of everything we do as a church.

Each summer our youth are invited to participate in camps at Tall Oaks Camp and Conference Center (closed for the summer of 2020) and the FCCPlatte Youth Mission Trip which has recently traveled to North Carolina (2018) and Colorado (2019) to help those less fortunate and have a lot of fun. Plans are under way for the 2020 FCCPlatte Youth Mission Trip to Ft. Worth, TX in early August (unsure if this will be possible with the current situation).
